    I wasn't sure if this was the right forum, but it seems to fit here. This is a photo of a Bacterial Mat of thermophyllic bacteria in the runoff pool of a geyser in the upper geyser basin of Yellowstone.

    Canon 5DM2, 24-104 @ 97mm, f16, 1/80S, Iso 400 with polarizer, handheld.

    Very interesting combination of colors and textures. It would look very good printed on metallic paper.

    I always love it when someone posts an abstract image like this one. You've got some very cool oranges here that really grab my attention. I do wish the dark areas were even darker - almost to black - I think that would really punch that orange a lot more.

    Very nice abstract, though...great curves and a good flow throughout the image.

    Hey Mike,
    I love the colors and flow to the abstract but I do wish for a bit more to the left edge to include the lower curve. An alternative is to patch in the darker area just to the left of the copyright symbol.....would probably have the same effect. Nice job finding something a bit unusual.
