    Hi all!
This is my 1st post here, I have been looking at your amazing pictures for a while now and finally decided to jump in...

This picture was taken on April 20 in Pullman, Washington with my Nikon D90 and the Sigma 100-300mm f/4 lens and the Kenko TC 2X (pro 300).
Not quite the "real" pro equipment but I do what I can with what I have;)

    600mm (300mm + TC 2X)
    f/13
    1/200
    ISO 400
    Manual focus

For some reason, I prefer manual focus over AF, I think I have some kind of a pride thing when I get it right...
I use to use AF but I would get mad at my equipment if the eye was not perfectly in focus, now I can blame myself and myself only!:D

Thank you for viewing and your comments are greatly appreciated, I'm still have a lot to learn....

Very clean image and I like the details in the bird. Could be a little warmer and a little more space on the bottom would be nice.

Nice image, I envy you being able to manual focus, too near sighted for that myself.

I live just up north of here in Spokane.

    Hi Ben,
I was in Spokane not too long myself, on tour with Fiddler on the roof... Did not really have time to shoot a lot though, just the Spokane Falls.

Welcome to BPN Christian, and enjoy the ride. I like the light, detail and colours, and good exposure on the blacks, especially around the head.I would maybe add a bit of contrast. Although slightly tight at the bottom, the comp works well. Keep them coming.

Nice clean shot, looks like very good IQ for using a doubler.

    Thank you all!
There is no crop from the bottom, hardly any on top, mostly left and a little right...
So no real option for adding more space on the bottom, I do agree that it does need a little more there.

    Will post more soon...
