Default TriColored Heron From Last Night

I took this yesterday evening just before sunset.
Still trying to capture those images I have in my head.

I like my images a little darker than most photographers. However in this case it turned out darker here than when I first saw it on my monitor. So I lightened it up a little and posted below since I can redo the image above and post so soon again.

    Daniel:

I tend towards darker images also, but this is still too dark IMHO. Nice pose, although wish the head didn't merge with wing. Appears sharp, esp. the body and wing, but a bit hard to call when this dark. The dark areas in the BG merge too much and are distracting from the bird.
He is a bit centered for my taste.

    Pleasant colors in the water.

I'm with Randy on this one. Hopefully you have a few more from this moment where the head doesn't merge with the wing as I feel that alone could greatly improve the overall look. Those BG colors you always get are very beautiful bye the way.

Daniel I think Randy has pretty much summed it up. The image has a lot of potential, with better light it would have been a stunner, especially with the great colours in the background.
