Old Town Sacramento. Having just received my new Nikon, I was seeing NIKON yellow everywhere. 32mm, F/10, 1/100, Exp comp -1, ISO 200

    Hi Buddy,
I like the perspective here...the color rendition and fine, sharp details are superb...the Nikon yellow gives it character...:)well done...

Yes, good perspective. And the yellow works against that perspective to give a unique balance. ENjoy that new Nikon!

Nicely composed. The chain leads the eye deep into the image, and colors are handsome. You might consider a slight CCW rotation so that the columns in the center of the image are vertical.

Just a question but I wonder if you couldn't open the shadows just a bit to show some of the detail in the bottom blacks of the train...the wheels etc.

Congrats on the new Nikon - composition works for me - and the Nikon yellow - well say no more :)

Thanks for the kind comments and suggestions everyone. I tried to rotate CCW, but then the picture looked tilted in the other direction. Tried to lighten the undercarraige, but then the rest of the picture became too light and washed out. (With my limited PP program I can't isolate one section of the picture.)
