    Default Oh Canada... (7D Image)

Continuing to experiment and explore the 7D with the activity at the park near my house... numerous squadrons of migrating geese were taking flight last night and tonight, so they gave me some steady subject matter to work with. Here is one from last night that I just processed...

    EOS 7D w/ 400 5.6L
    1/1600 f/5.6 iso200 EC -2/3
AI Servo w/ AF point expansion
Processed in DPP, no NR, minimal PS adjustments
Approx. 40% cropped, 60% of original remaining

I was tracking the bird seen highest in the frame, and the focus held true through the sequence/burst and all the comotion. I could've used a little more DOF to get more birds in focus, but I like the overall look of this one.

Your comments are greatly appreciated. :)

    Thanks for looking,
    John

3D feel for sure. The colors really work beautifully here and if it were mine I would think about losing the cropped bird on the RHS. Great image! :)

Love this one as is. BG is great and all the different wing positions add interest. Wondering if it might look better with a little room on the left though? Congrats

I agree with Akos on cropping out the far right bird, but such nice lighting and a wonderful flight capture. Your title got me excited thinking of all the migrating birds heading back to south Florida!

O Canada is my daughter's favourite song (this week) she is 3 1/2. I like this shot a lot, and I am glad you didn't clone out the back right goose., it keeps the image interesting. to get all those birds in focus, I think you would have needed f22! well done.

With regards to the tracking, well done, as the victim is nice and sharp. I dont mind the goose in the FG, but the other OOF ones are distracting. Hope you have fun with the 7D.

Very nice flight shot. Very sharp and I like the background as well.
