    Default Osprey, EOS 7D

This is one of the first images I made with the 7D. It seemed to do quite well focusing on inflight with a mixed background, something that sometimes give me problems with the MKIII. Not much done in pp here, just got cs4 yesterday and it is a bit different for me.

Very nice pose with eye contact, I like the wing position although ti could be better, Fish is a plus, exposure is good. I would sharpen a bit more.

Regarding AF, can you post a 100% crop of Osprey in flight against foliage? A 100% crop of above would also be appreciated if it is not too much of a burden.

Looks very nice to me. I like the background and the intense look on the Osprey.

Thanks for the input, guys. Arash, I'll try to send you both, plus a Marbled Godwit against a very mixed BG.

Nice stare. The blacks could go a bit blacker and/or you could boost the contrast a bit.

Nice image, Chris. I did not see the camera brand yet but immediately noticed that this picture looks great.
When I saw it was taken with 7D, I was pleasantly surprised.
Would it be possible to post those images you mentioned to Aras under Photographic gear please?
I would be very much interested in seeing them.

I love the eye contact and the open wing Chris. You can really see the length of an Osprey's legs in this particular image.

I like the pose and eye contact, and the feather detail looks good. Killer BG too.

Really like the eyes and half-eaten fish. Nice clean background as well.

Thank you, everyone. Went back and darkened and added a bit of contrast to the back and selectively sharpened the head area per Aries instructions and it does look better. Won't post it for taking up space.

Apologies to Artie for not seeing this sooner. Ihope adding it here is the right thing to do. Added more contrast to the back area and selectively sharpened some around the head.

No Problema. I looks much better but still looks as if it could benefit from an additional contrast boost. In addition, both eyes, especially the bird's left eye, could use some Eye Doctor work.
