The other day I posted a image of a flying Pelican which I asked for some help in exposure. I was out today and I applied what several of you suggested I do and I wanted to show you the result of this advise. Although the bird is a little large for the frame the exposure is what I was realy interested in and the sharpness. What do you think? The exposureinformation is as folows: Nikon D3, Nikon 200-400mm @ 400, f/16 1/400, +.67 exposure. ISO-200. Aperture priority. Thank you again for all your help.

Proud of you Wheeler! You got a lot of detail in the underside and I must commend you for using a small aperture for increased depth of field, since the eye and the breast are in a different focal plane.
I would crop the top so both wingtips are gone.

Good exposure in some contrasty lighting. Looks almost like flash fill.

I agree with fabs about the extra cropping, it would help.

Thanks very much for your suggestions and opinions. Is this the crop you had in mind? I think it looks better.

    Thanks again.

It does, Wheeler. I would also take a bit form the top!
