    Default Common Kingfisher

From all the 10-15 shots I got of the Kingfisher hovering..this is the best one.

Great image. I particularly like the position of the beak and the feet. The colors of the BG nicely compliment the bird.

I like the wing position, open beak and the BG and only wish the bird were more angled toward you.

Its always good to capture them hovering, and close enough too. Everytime I get the chance, they are always so high in the sky. Well exposed colours, with a lovely complimentary BG. I would maybe try and lighten the eye a tad.

the colours are superb and the wing blur adds a lot - I agree with Axel, in an ideal world the bird would have been facing you a tad more :)

Really neat capture Danny. Hard to imagine, but 5 years ago this would have been an "Emmy" award winner. Pretty cool even now. Congratulations.

Head angle has been mentioned. Love the open beak and killer light. Great looking bird.
