    Default Green Heron

I photographed this heron at a local pond. They are usually quite skittish but this one let me get close and the image is pretty much full frame.

The majestic pose makes this, and I like the light and colours. Killer BG, and well captured.

Lovely pose and HA, and great compo. The perfect BG colors to compliment a Green Heron's coloration.

great exposure and pose with the foot up - BG to die for. if you're into that kind of thing I would consider removing the twig and piece of bark below the perch.
