I had the luck to run into a family of otters last week. The lighting wasn't the best but I always enjoy photographing them any chance I get.

    Canon 50D
    !00-400 @ 150mm
    ISO 400
    F7.1 @ 1400 sec.
Lighting conditions sunny about 10 o'clock in the morning.

    All CCs appreciated.

God's light and love to all

Hi Chris, hmmm...I think you may want to consider cleaning up the background a bit. And I wish you had zoomed in more, or perhaps stepped to your right a bit before you pressed the shutter button.

I hope you have a chance to photo the otter again !

    Thank you for sharing !!

Hi Chris - a exciting find! Looks like some harsh light and at a angle - gotta take what you can get some times.
Hopefully you get another chance with this guy in better light :)

Really good Chris !!! I know how hard these are to get !!! ... and getting detail in the fur just about impossible !!! Excellent !!! Would only desaturate the green a bit !!

Not bad, needs to be larger in the frame and the body shadow is a tad distracting - overall cool picture.
