7D First day shooting - CC?

Went out this morning to a local park where the ducks have taken over the lake. This was taken with a 70-200mm f2.8 IS. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks

Welcome Dave! How are you enjoying the new body? You did well with the sharpness here, and I like that you can see the feet through the clear water. A lower shooting angle would have helped. I might darken the blacks a bit. And I'd prefer to see more canvas to the left of the bird. It would help if you would include complete techs along with your image posts. Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to BPN, Dave! Nice first post, I like the eye contact and that we can see the feet, although I agree with Doug on a lower angle. Yes to more room at the left and a little bit more top and bottom and I would increase contrast a few points. Keep them coming!
