I took this in Maine this past weekend. 1Dmiin, 70-200 f4 at f4, 200mm, iso 400, 1/800. He wasn't big but he had lots of personality.

Carol, Looks like Baxter. Great looking image. The pose and colors of the moose look good. Would be nice if the shoreline didn't cut thru the antlers which look a bit large for a yearling-but I am not an expert and size does vary from what I understand. Still this is a great shot and I would LOVE to have it in my files!!

Hi Carole - ditto what denise said - I would also consider sharpening the moose a little more.
Like the pose and eye contact.
    Good show :)

    Hi Carole,
I agree with the techs. and advise given, also might want to give this big guy more canvas to the left side of your frame, so he has space to walk into...looking forward to your next one...

Nice image. I agree he's too centered, and room on the left would help. I'd try a slight ccw rotation to level the shoreline, but not if it tilts the moose too much.

.. just more room and give it space up front !!! One fine image with lots of shadow detail !!! Love it !!
