Default Mule Buck in the Field

Pretty heavy crop (how exactly do you determine your crop %?), saw this guy coming out of the scrub oak. Wanted to get him in front of the changing bushes and evergreen. Overcast, late October, early evening, 20D, 1-400L @ 400mm, ISO 400, +2/3EC, f6.3, 1/125, AF. Processed to enhance BKGD colors and give a cold, chilly, late October feel.

You did give the desired feel Steve Love the bg and detail on the Buck It does seem like he is pasted in front of the trees There is a strong halo around the bottom of the animal Might be best selecting the buck to work on him or reverse for the bg

Strong visually and love it !!!

Killer image. I like how the BG were the buck is frames him in green. Diagonal slop of the hill is nice, the BG colors electric and combined with the snow make for a wonderful look. Colors look right on.

Really nice image here and the buck stands out nicely from the gorgous colorful BG. The BG looks a bit unnatural was it softened? I'm also seeing a halo on the underside of the buck...
