The image of the soaring birds is peaceful to me. I enjoy just sitting on the bank watching them soar free, overhead in the clouds, and letting the frustrations of the day soar away with them.
This image, taken at Merritt Island NWR, was modified with conversion to B&W with a light sepia tone, Dry Brush, Ink Outline, Dark Strokes, Glass Diffusion and Canvas Texture.
I like your comment about having you frustrations soar away with the birds. There's a poem there somewhere. The bird in the foreground in particular does seem to be just flying for the joy of flying.
Beautiful image, Mark. I get a very peaceful feeling looking at it. The sepia tone and texture are perfect for the image, though I might tone down the texture just a tiny bit.
I too like the effect here Mark.
There seems to be a slight "scaling" issue with the canvas.....notice the square repeats.
Might reduce scaling and relief a bit. If you did this on a larger version and reduced
it is possible to get this effect. Reductions at 25 or 50% usually will not show this
Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
Thought about the one bird option, but liked the "friend in flight!". ;)
Would try a repost for the scaling, but my new computer is on the fritz and I can't see anything in photoshop. For some reason I can open this site, but all outside images are mush.... Hopefully that will go away soon.
