    Dear all
    This is Black Napped Monarch
    Male with black nape and gorget ( Except in Shri Lanka where black often absent or indistint). Female duller with grey brown mantle and wings
    Broadleaved forest & well-wooded areas. Fast movers and can be found near water streams in summers. Size 16 cms

    Sri Lankan race H. a. ceylonensis
