    I guess I have not posted any bird shot for a while...

    D700 105f2.8 VR micro nikkor hand-held. ISO 400 f4.5 1/1600s. All natural light, manual exposure mode as usual.

    Cropped for composition purpose. Improved the shadow areas.

    It was flying low.

    Hi Desmond - like the translucent feathers - love the wingspread and the fanned out tail- good details and the exposure looks good, sharp to boot.

    I like the capture angle Desmond. The under wing feather details are sharp and clear...well done...:cool:

    Hand held, bright sky yet you maintained sharp focus, good exposure and interesting angles! I like it a lot.

    Desmond - Love the detail and the overall composition. It is an image that invites long looks to see all there is too see.
