    Default Elk

Captured this elk at RMNP the other morning. The thing that does bug me is the distracting foreground. On the other hand, I like the pose of the elk and the falling snow. I had a larger file that fell within the size range, but it would not post. Thanks for looking.

Agree with you on the elk and the snow Dan. Image conveys a great sense of this time of year. A little reduction of the saturation of the red and yellow in the FG bushes minimizes its impact to my eye.

Thanks for the comments! Great idea Steve about the saturation.

Love the feel of the habitat here.. Great bull as well. The snow is a bonus. BG looks good to me and the FG stuff doesn't bother me at all

You've captured a beauty in this guy. I like the snow and setting. Agree with Steve that the saturation is too strong. Crop is a little tight, and I wonder if a horizontal would work better.

Super pose and specimen. Snow adds a lot, and agree that sat appears a little heavy. Nice shot.

Love the falling snow and the BG. The body language of the Elk is great. I do not have a problem with the FG, it just adds to the image..
