Kiran Bhai, very nice plumage detail and great head angle. BG is nice and I like his perch as our Harriers on this side of the world usually stand on mounds of earth rather than perch on trees. Do tou use a blind to get so close? This is a great image of a beautiful species. I wouldn't change a thing. Congrats

Thanks Brian, I dont exactly use a hide but close,Its just knowing the bird behavior a bit, they have their fav perches in the grasslands. all you need to do is wait for them, in this case I used my SUV as a hide. she came, she sat and I clicked away.

    Regards,

    Kiran.

Sweet image! I really like the up riased wing feathers - was this the wind or did the biord do it? I also like the BG and excellent detail. You can just barely see the opposite eye feathers - nice touch!.

Kiran, reading your words make it sound very easy to take pictures of these guys....so you just clicked away:-). I just love your raptor series. Nice light, beautiful detail in feathers, low angle, nice BG. Congratulations.

I like the angle, sharpness, soft light and BG. The grass at the perch adds to it. Is there a slight magenta cast?

    wonderful shot bhai.
saying i just clicked away may be easy for you as you already declared that you know the bird very well.
I know how difficult to shoot such a perfect pose of raptors here in india in our region.

I would say you have really measured every bit of their behavior and so this is the outcome of your years learning .

Big congrats and keep on . we are also learning from your images so keep posting.

Brian just wait for two three more week to get more better raptors from our Bhai :)

Wonderful image of an elusive species. Well planned and well executed, I would have preferred slightly more space below.

loved everything about the image as presented...
I agree with mital...give kiran 2-3 more weeks till all the raptors get here...then his images suddenly turn from outstanding to pure bliss...
