    I cant make a trip to the Okavango this year so I am posting one from my last trip. Work is now interfering with my hobby.:(
    Oh well will just have to live with it.:cool:

    this is stunning. Love the light and wing spread. I especially like the fact that the Skimmer is flying towards you and the eye contact is super.

    The BG really sets this one off, Green behind him blue in front awesome. Sharpness is excellent and exposure perfect, Good job getting his eye visible. I'd hang this one on the wall for sure.

    Hello Dave,

    Wow! What a splendid shot of this Skimmer! You got a great pov (I like those pov where the bird is flying lower than us showing the environment in the bg instead of the little boring blue sky!). Excellent composition with the wings well deployed. The head is very sharp and you managed very well the exposition!

    Neat pose, looks like you were higher than the skimmer! I too like the green-to-blue BG, but the ripples' slanted angle makes it feel like it needs a bit of CCW rotation? You may want to reduce the blue on the tail and wing edges. Good sharpness, and as posted the IQ looks great for the high ISO. Quite the wingspan!!
