Theme: Peaceful place
When I think of peace, I think about the personal kind, and one of my favorite peaceful places is the Salton Sea. In the evening, after the sun goes down, there is nobody there but you and the waves and the birds. The white pelicans paddle around quietly and the birds all come home for the day. :cool:
With a little help from three Topaz filters, I made this serene scene into a watercolor of sorts. Hope you like... :)

Very nice Kerry! I was hoping you would share another Salton Sea image w/ us. I like the wake and the lines it's created in the image. My only thoughts are the pelican could be a bit more in the ROT position or a corner spot. The soft color tones are just lovely. A true sense of peace!

Very beautiful and peaceful scene, Kerry! I love the soft colors and the lone pelican swimming along. Only thing I might change would be to remove the small white clouds in the sky. To me they distract a bit from the peaceful feel.
Beautiful image and give the sense of peacefulness. Great colors and treatment. Love it!
I love the colors and do get a peaceful sense from your photo and treatment. I don't know what it is about water but it usually inspires tranquility.
