I remember taking this image from Taj Mahal in 2001. This is the view from the back of the Taj as the river Yamuna flows past it. The lone person standing in the canopy structure and watching the sunset embodies the peaceful evening and reminded me of the emperor who built the Taj and how he may have enjoyed the evenings then although Taj was never a place of his residence. The Emperor's fort in Agra was not too far from this location on the banks of the same river. I used a DAP version to overlay on this image and then open up the river to give a smooth flow. Hope you like it.

    Indranil,

I think this is a beautiful photo and treatment. The calmness of the water really makes for a tranquil, peaceful mood.

Hi Indranil, Nice comp, beautiful lighting along with a pleasing use of filters. A pano crop below the dark cloud would also work. Nice job!

Indranil, beautiful shot and nice use of DAP to get a painterly feel! Very much looks like something from an art book!! Excellent use of light.

my favorite time of day, wherever I am. Nice, calm shot. I like the suggestion of the pano crop also, to get ride of the ominous cloud.

Beautiful Indranil! Love that DAP overlay effect! I might have left a bit of the DAP layer on the river, just to preserve the "painterly" element a bit more, but man this is great!!

beautiful as presented.....would like to see a bit of amber color
    present in the right half.
Also do not overlook the vertical.....upscaled this from your wee OP with Alien Skin Blowup,
removed the sun and changed sat a bit.....just a thought

Thanks Dave. Agree with you and a very nice repost. I like it a lot... never used Alien Skin Blowup... I will sure give it a try. I did take few other vertical crop after the sun went down and almost identical to what you have posted. Thanks for sharing.
