    Default Little blue heron silhouette

    40D. 300 f/4 non-IS plus 1.4x. f/5.6. 1/1000. iso 320.

overexposed a bit from evaluative metering in camera. Did some more exposure, contrast, curves and color temp. adjustment in DPP. No sharpening or NR.

    All critiques welcome and appreciated.

I forgot to mention. A little canvas added at the top.

Nice pose, and exposure. I might warm it up a bit. You could try raising your K value higher next time. I would also crop some from the bottom as the perch is very overpowering IMO

Beautiful composition, Kaustubh. Very much like the pose and silhouette. Another vote for the crop suggestion.

Nice frame KD, loved the wing opened pose adds well to the image, one personal suggestion would be to clone out the twigs that are reflecting at the bottom of the bird.

thx everyone. The reason I had not cropped is I did not want to clip the logs. But I understand there is a little room there to crop. Will try.
