Default 2 different camera bag questions - biking

Great discussions on camera bags for traveling, but a spin on that if you don't mind.

First, I am looking for a bag that can also be mounted on a bike for quick access. (50D, 100-400, 1.4x with hood extended - hopefully). There are great trails here in the Bay Area where you can bike and bird, but with my binocs already in a chest harness I am looking for a bag system that can be mounted on a bike racking frame over the rear wheels - I have heard front rack systems can cause stability issues.

Second - can these cameras handle the vibrations generated by being carted on a bike rack? I will not be bombing down hills; the trails are groomed, packed, unpaved - generating fairly constant shaking.

I received an e-mail from Canon stating they are not concerned about the vibrations and shaking the camera will receive - noting the tires, racks, and bag padding will cushion the shaking - of course they won't guarantee there wont be a problem, but it did not raise immediate concerns.
