Super close and super sharp. You have dealt with the reds very well (sometimes a problem with these guys.)
BG is sweet too. Something is a bit off with the comp. but I can't put my finger on it.
    Well done Rob.

Not crazy about the comp but I understand you wanted to preserve the dry fruit. Nice light, pose, detail, BG, colors and pose. Congratulations!

Beautiful little bird, nice colours overall. There is a bit of a bluish cast on it though...a favorite technique of mine too eliminate this is too desaturate the blue and cyan channels. Be aware that this only works well when said cast colour is not to be present in any other areas of the image (in this case there is no blue anywhere else but by the cast).

As far as composition goes, I see you wanted to include the complete cone, but in this case I think pointing your lens to the right a bit more would have provided a more pleasing comp. Going horizontal was another possible option (if no major distractions were present) to give more space in front of the bird.

Great BG and pose, please keep these beautiful species coming!! :-)

Would have preferred more space on the right and a personal choice would be to clone out the bottom branch, still loved the colours, HA is good, great BG and a very cute bird, congrats....

Comp needs more space on right as Kiran and Ramon suggest, but bird is way cool Rob. nicely done.

Liked it a lot. I think the ugly perch and the drab BG make the bird look more beautiful. There is a real pop to this. It would have been better if the bird were looking towards the left. real nice work with the blacks and the whites. exposure looks very good to me.

Love the color and details as well as the BG. I too would like to see it as a horizontal with some room on the right.

Love the detail and fether detail. Perch is also very nice.

Love these little Robins. :) I can see where the compositional imbalance is derived from. You were hoping for it to look left, right? This way it's a little off balance, but still a nice image.
