This was taken a couple days ago on Roberts Banks, just south of Vancouver, BC. 50D, 400mm/5.6 at 5.6, 1/750, ISO400. There is a bit of a crop, not much, and I left the shells as habitat. Although it appears cool, I believe the colours are accurate, and I did not change the white balance from daylight.

Dave, Very nice sharpness esp. in the bill, really nice details and exposure looks good. I like the shells and the green seaweed, might evict the small wooden piece in the FG. I also might warm this up a bit-looks like a blue cast. I also might take a small slice off the top. A really nice shot!!
Agree on the cast, and I think it needs just a little CW rotation. It's nice to see a BBP photographed in a different environment than the beach and like this vegetation.
