    Hi all!

It's been some time since I haven't upload an image for critique. I've been very busy but not taking pictures (I wish!)

Here I was experimenting with high ISO's, (at least for a 30D), and big crops in PS.
These birds are extremely shy and I was thrilled :Dto have an opportunity to take several shots of these guys and their chicks, sadly the image quality suffered a lot.

From your setting I see you had to deal with a real low light condition. Nice job considering the shooting conditions.

Your exposure, details and colors here are amazing! You got down nice and low. Love the way the bird is slight turned toward you and crouched down low. The only thing I would do is remove the green distraction from above the tail b/c that one spot detracts a bit from your subject.

    Thank you for sharing. Marina

Cool-looking bird, good eye contact and nice soft light. I would desaturate the image a few points, especially the grass. I might sharpen the bird a bit more.

Focus looks good. Some motion blur at 1/80 in the low light. Would a little flash have been an option? Agree on desaturating the yellows/greens in the grass. Noise levels look very good.

Your repost is a big improvement and this is a super cool bird. Love the environment too. :)
