    Dear all
    Made this with D40X , ISO 200, 70-300 VR at 98 mm , F5.6.

    It was hot march afternoon.
In March grass dries up in Corbett NP and elephants have tough time to search Green food
Here is mother with her cub

All C & C are most welcome and much appreciated
    Harshad

This does look like a hot, tough day! I like the S curve of the road and the placement of the two animals. I would like to see more of the cub however.

I was going to say exactly the same, the 'calf' should have been on the top end of the S-curve, just 2 elephant-steps behind where it's currently. Slight CW rotation required..imho.

I like this composition, especially with the mountain layers and the sky.

    Harshad,

Nicely done with the curving road and placement of the lead elephant. Too bad on the offspring's position. I am guessing that getting them to move into the preferred positions is not very easy. :)

I like how the road leads toward the elephant. Very sharp image as well.

With calf at the top end of the curve this would have been a wonderful image.
    Better luck next time Harshad.

Lovely shot Harshad. Like the animal scape aspect. Shame about the calf, but guessing by the time it was past the corner, Momma was getting too close for comfort. Nice shot.

Nice image Harshad. I like the tilt of the mother's head, the curve of the path through the grass, and the mountains in the BG. Tell that calf to slow down next time!
