    Default Osprey Cold Stare

Sorry for not being around lately, I really miss being on here but have been working too many hours. I took this one back in July with my old 20D. I've been seeing Osprey over my job site and figure they've obviously started migration. Hope to spend a lot more time with them next year as I didn't get enough this year.

This is not the greatest pic as the light was quite harsh and it especially shows on his primaries. I also wished I had bumped up the ISO to 400 so I could have added a little more DOF.

Thanks for looking, All c/c appreciated
    Brian

Nice composition and you handled harsh light very well.

I like the pose and comp Brian. The direction of the light was not ideal, but you have done very well to get the detail in the shadows. I think the light showing through the feathers and the touch of rim light above the wing and around the head adds to the image.

Nice exposure, pose, and comp. Even thought the light direction was poor, and the bird directly overhead, you managed to get the face illuminated well.

Excellent exposure and details given overhead light. I like the open wing position and the eye contact, very well done. I actually like the blurred wing tips. You did a good job.
