    Default Red Breasted

Taken two winters ago on the Merrimac river when there was only small pockets open due to a long cold snap.
Made it nice as these usually hard to approach birds were quite close. I wish for a lower angle but i was on a pier and laying as low as i could get

    Nikon D2H with sigma 300-800 at 750mm f5.6 at 1/1000 and ISO 200

Beautiful lighting and excellent detail and great eye contact as well as lovely reflection. I would like to see a bit more room on the left and a slight head turn would be nice. Fine work and many thanks for sharing John.

Looks pretty good and you mentioned the angle. I might tone down the whites a bit more and really like the 3 eyes in the reflection.

Very nice image and reflection. I like the composition but I wish to see a lower angle to give more power to your subject in the frame.

a lower angle would emphasis the subject more and less of the reflection.
