    Default American Kestral (C)

Image created a few weeks ago at a Birds of prey show where in between shows, I got to spend some quality time with 4 of their raptors. Taken with my 20D and 200 F/2.8L, F/8.0 @ 1/1250 sec, ISO 400, manual exposure. I debated cleaning up the bill as they had just fed him some chicken at least it looked like chicken. Cropped from landscape to portrait. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Looks like a very cooperative model. I like the head turn and BG and wish for a better light angle. I might clean the beak, desaturate the yellows a few points and sharpen less. Please post images that don't exceed 800 pixels vertically.

Beautiful bird Wayne, I don't mind the beak but agree with Axel on the rest.

Wonderful image Wayne. I like the intense stare and detail.

Great head portrait Wayne. I agree with Axel with the exception of the cleaning of the bill, the meat is a natural thing IMO!
