This is a Jerusalem artichoke flower from our garden. I used a variety of adjustment layers to tone the flower including channel mixer, hue/saturation, and photo filter. Originally the BG was black, I changed it to tan in PS. I also applied pallette knife, dry brush, and sponge filters to the image. Any C&C are welcome!

Hi Christopher, Very nice mottled effect in the backround. I like the comp with the slight bend in the stem giving the image more interest. The 2 leaves act well as a base. Might want to clean up the very top leaf. The leaf with the hole doesn't bother me in this case...

Christopher, The artistic effect you achieved here is very nice. I too like the bend in the stem and the petals look nice with a backside view. Nice color tones and the comp. is good also.

nice all the way around Christopher....might clean up smudge on top petal.
Hole in one petal adds a nice visual element and is not distracting

Oh, so much to learn. I would not know how to begin to use PS like you did. Beautiful image and PS work.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Much appreciated! Good catch on the smudge, I'll make sure to remove it.
