    Canon EOS 450D, Sigma 50-500 f/4-6.3 @ 500 mm, 1/30 s, f/7.1, ISO 400, tripod, DPP + CS2, slight crop for comp.

    This is a superb image. On looking at the thumbnail it looked like the bird was about to leap out of the screen and on opening up it fulfilled my wishes and more. Nice exposure and sharpness for a low shutter speed.

    Welcome to BPN!

    Nice light, BG, and exposure. Sharp too. The bird seems a bit tight in the frame, and the white blotches in the BG are distracting, and I would tone them down a bit. Nice first image

    Looking forward to more!

    Nice level of detail on those dark feathers, nice spcies and angle, not ideal light IMO though.
