    Chris- In this case the "deer in the headlamp" look works for me, and it's a treat to see a Scops Owl after only hearing them (for me only in Crete). Love the eyes and the dead-leaf plumage.

    I agree with the positives and the suggestions above. I like details and comp, although the perch doesn't really match the BG.

    Incredible details and well exposed. I like the camouflage bark look to the plumage. Nice species.Congrats!

    Very cool looking owl and you did a great job capturing the details. I love how the feathers look like bark. Very nicely done.

    Good one Chris. The OP looked a little overflashed perhaps, at least bright for me. Great looking raptor mate. :) I am green on Oz now.
