lovely bg and nice green of the juv. bee-eater. seems to be very harsh light here and you handle very well. though bit of more head turn towards you may have added nice catch light on the black over the eye line.
    IMHO

Wonderfull light, pose, HA, BG, perch, comp, detail and colors. I like it a lot. I could only suggest a tad more room at the bottom and a little less on top. Congratulations!

Nice one Harshad, nice detail captured. Have you considered a portrait comp it may also work.

Great pose of this species with lots of details. Getting near in a car seem to be the best for these ones even over here.

As pointed out perhaps a portrait crop here.

Way to go Harshad! I like the comp as is. I would only tone down the top part of the perch, and carefully eliminate the smaller horizontal part of the branch (as mentioned by arash).

Just gorgeous Harshad! I would leave the perch as is. There seems to be a strong desire (on this forum especially) for nothing but a bird and a stick. If there is anything else in the frame everyone says "Clone it!" In my opinion this creates very sterile images that do not reflect the natural world that we live in...

Hi Harash, I like the repost but what I meant is to remove only the small horizontal twig that crosses behind the lower branch.

Glenn, I understand your point and I do agree to a degree. However, I have seen many simple perches that were like that naturally...do those not reflect the natural world that we live in? Maybe we could digitally add extra twigs on those! :-)

Very nice, Harshad. Great colors and killer bg. Love the eye contact and the feather details.

Cool bird, great pose, details and BG. Removing the twigs is a matter of taste but I like the idea of toning down the perch.

Beautiful bird Harshad and fantastic details. I prefer the twig in the last repost. Nicely done!
