    Hi, just got to thinking about this little fella I got while on one of those everglades boat excursions a few years ago and thought I'd share him.

    Really cute pose Hazel. Could do with some more usm, and bg busy, but that can't be helped. Thanks for sharing.

    He is a cutie, Hazel and it's interesting how well he blends in with his environment. I agree, a little more sharpening might be in order.

    Thanks. Yes, the bg is busy, but as you say some things we have no control over. I'll work on the sharpening. Good point.

    Default everglades raccoon redone

    I decided that maybe the background would be easier to deal with than the little fella himself, so I did some blurring and some re-coloring in dark grey and golden brown. Is it better? Or does he stand out too much now?

    Hi Hazel, Your blurring of the backround made the raccoon stand out but I wouldn't blur the areas that are on the same plane as the raccoon...

    I assume you mean the large vertical tree trunk and the one he's standing on?

    What a cute pose, Sharpning the raccoon only and not blurring the BG will help IMHO
