Default Bull Elk on the March

This time of year I'm usually coaching other folks behind the camera so I don't get a lot of shutter time myself. So in the harsh morning light I got a few moments of elk majesty that I feel the shadows didn't ruin. The raised leg and sense of motion I feel makes up for the light and rough shadows on the face.

Really good imposing animal, the light worked well in this one, I would personally just like a little more room top and bottom, but a fine image anyway :)

I like the pose with the raised leg. The small plant near at the bottom is a nice touch. Fine head gear. :D

Awesome Rack Jared. Agree that some more room would enhance, and also like the inclusion of the small spruce. WD!

What a nice trophy. It seems has some aggression. Really impressive to me. Well done.

fine specimen and like the angle - light handled well.
I would rotate it some CW to level him out.

What an amazing set of antlers, I would be very happy even with the harsh light.

Looking at your great capture of this guy in the early morning light with the raised hoof gives me the feeling of being there, too. Must have been an exciting moment!

I like the tonal range in this image and the light on the antlers, really sets them off. He looks like an animal on a mission.

I like the clean background and this elk does look very majestic. Maybe just a little rotation.
