Topaz just came out with it's new masking program and I think it is a winner. It works as a PS action and is easy and as you can see works great. I removed the bad background and voila. These two images were taken with Canon 40D. ISO 400, f/8.0, 1/320 sec, -0.33 EV, EF100mm f/2.8 Macro, Evaluative Metering, Auto Exposure, Auto WB , No Flash. Comments or questions are certainly welcome.......

Wonderful detail in the butterfly, even the translucence in the wings is visible. I like the colour combination as well. Will have to look at the masking programme.

Very nicely done. Nice and sharp and standout colour combinations. Thanks for posting a comment on the Topaz product, I was wondering about it. Well done, Dave

    Richard,

Very handsome image. At first glance I thought the red channel was over the top, but the brilliant colors are part of the image's appeal and I don't see any loss of detail. Nicely done. I saw the e-mail from Topaz and thought ReMask looked interesting. Unfortunately it doesn't support PS Elements. I guess I'll have to graduate to CS4 one of these days.

    Bill
