    As some of you already know, I've been experimenting a lot with acorns lately. For this photo, I placed down a whole bunch of acorns and focused in on one of them with the others forming the BG. To give the photo a vintage feel, I converted it to a quadtone, added a vignette and some noise, and applied a slight soft light overlay. Any C&C are welcome!

    Hi Christopher. You did a very nice job with your goals for this one. The dynamic range and color really give an antique look. I think the grain is working too...

    Christopher, One of your best.I love that color tones you have. Excellent details on your main acorn.The BG noise is a nice touch-really adds to the sense of vintage.

    Nice work, Christoper. Definitely a vintage look, with an interesting comp, and the selective focus works well.

    Christopher, this is a beautiful still life composition. I like it a lot with its vintage look. The color tone and the grain works very well here.

    ditto all the above, could even see the bg blurred a bit more.

    Must admit that the main acorn does give "a certain graphic" impression :eek:....it really does!!
