    Early morning at the Meadowlands.
I could have lightened the overall tone of the BG. but I liked the rich colors and left them.

Nice low angle beautiful BG would not touch it neither. Good timing as well. I like it.

I remember this little guy. :) I like the bathing pose, angle, sharpness and light and would tone down the whites at the underwing and neck.

I think the exposure looks fine. I like the wing flap and the nice eye contact. I might move the bird slightly to the left of the frame.

This is really sweet, the tones are so complimentary. Well done getting a nice low angle and beautiful action.

Nice bathing action Denise. Love those blues. Did this guy offer you a great big wing-flap after it was done?

Denise well captured bathing action. Great low angle and nice BG colour. I agree with Doug about possibly moving the bird farther to the left of side of the frame. Still a very nicer image.

Great light, pose, BG, and exposure. I might crop a tad off the right, but this is still an excellent image, and IMO is your best to date.

    Well Done!

Thanks Stephen and Aidan, This image is almost full frame. I just lost a bit off the edges when I straightened it. I considered the crop carefully and felt that taking any off the left would cut into the splash and I didn't want to do that. Thankyou for your thoughts.

Denise, the light, colors and behavior you captured here are just awesome. The exposure looks good to me. I think I one crop with more off left and one with more off right and see if either pleases you more than this one. Of course, you may well have tried this. An awesome capture!

Great shot, love the low angle Denise! There is nothing quiet like laying on your stomach with these birds walking right up to you! The only thing that I might do with this image to improve it would be to remove the little feather sticking out of the birds head:p.
