One of my favourite small species. When you stop in the Kruger sit still for a while, these guy's
will peep out and give you a nice pose.

PS I should have used more DOF f9 but it all happened so quickly I did not even though about the setting at the time

    Your comments would be appreciated

Nice close up and lovely eye contact and detail. Indeed a bit more DOF would have made this image better.

Hi Chris, what a sweet look this little one has! I agree with your self-assessment and wish I could be in Kruger, again.

Agree with a bit more dof comment, but a nice portrait anyway and I love those eyes :)

    Chris,
Good one. Love the eye contact. Moving the camera slightly to the left would have given you less of body and more of the head and would have strengthened the image. Were you hand holding or using any support like bean bag etc. I agree that a higher depth of field would have been good as the ear is not is focus. However, your shutter speed was already down to 1/200, so f9 would have been tough.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

Super shot Chris. Own critique and a tad of Sabyasachi's fit well. Very well done and love the light quality.

Thanks for all the comments. Yep technical not to great. Sabyasachi I used no support acutely I took the cam away from my eye level hand hold it down outside the car and shoot hoping for the best to get a good angle :)
