    Default Anemone with Textures

This is my first post to this forum. I usually hang out on the Macro forum.
I discovered textures a few month ago and have been having fun playing with them.
In this image, I applied two textures, "free texture of 10" by joessistah and "faery disappearing" by Helenina Stock to a photo of a Chinese Anemone taken indoors with a white background.

Beautiful colors in this! The fact that your background went from white to this marvelous creation that brings out the colors of the flowers center and also serves as a frame is amazing! The only thing that bothers me (and it is very minor) is that the stem is trying to escape out of the frame.:)

Can you share any tips or tutorials that would help me get started with exploring textures?

I'm glad you like the use of textures. I learned how to use textures with tutorials at Textures for Layers. That site also has free textures available for download. Let me know if I can be of further help. :)

Hi Anita, The textures and color are beautiful. The border also adds a sense of age and creates interest. The flower is attractive, sharp and in a nice position. For my taste I would of had a shorter stem. Very creative and nicely handled!!

Anita, I'm so glad you decided to drop by and share one of your beautiful flower images. I too have been messing around w/ texture overlays and they are so fun.You did a great job w/ this Anemone(one of my favorites). The flower has alot of details and the painterly look of the BG is lovely.Well done.I look forward to your next creation!!!

Anita, a beautiful use of textures. It looks like an Old World painting.:)
