I cheated and found a photo that wouldn't require much PP. This photo was already almost monochromatic. I did remove a tad of the greenish color in the top background where there was a little bit of grass in the sand, but I left some of it. Otherwise, the colors are as shot - mostly shades of brown.

Lovely image, love the open beak, sharp eye with blur wing to show motion and the splash droplets. I might take out the frame around the picture. I think this image is a little too many differnt colors for monochromatic for me, maybe try loosing the blue in the droplets.

Excellent composition, Patti. Great choice of the image. I like the frame with the drop shadow a lot. It provides a nice perspective IMHO. Agree with the previous post on the blue in droplets; that can be fixed easily with color shifts. TFS.

Patii, The open bill and water splashing everywhere is just adorable. Does have the feel of a monochromatic image. I even like the title. Nicely presented.

Love the watery bathtime feel to this. I like the monochromatic cast but wish the bird were a little more to the right of center and to be turned more toward the image plane. At first I didn't like the frame, but on second looks I like it more, especially the cream-colored mat which works well with the photo colors. Thanks for sharing, Patti!

Thanks for all of the suggestions and kind comments. I tried to incorporate as many of the suggestions as I could in this retry, but it still is not completely monochromatic since there are other colors besides shades of brown. I lost the frame just to show what it looks like without and I cropped to avoid having the bird in the center. I tried to remove the blue using both Selective Color and Replace Color. Most of it is gone. I don't know what Color Shift is, so couldn't do that. For my taste, I like the first one better even if it doesn't follow the rule of thirds.

Hi Patti, You caught good action with the bird making a nice presentation. IMO the image needs more room at the bottom and just a bit off the top down to just above the 2 waterdroplets(near the darker backround)

Great pose and action, Patti. I like the frame too. Agree with Dave on more room at the bottom and less on top.

Nice action and details, Patti. Love the water droplets. I like the frame for this one, too.

Hi Patti, I love birdies in the bath like that! Great capture. The repost is nice but I'm liking the frame as well. I think the colors of the frame and mat make a nice compliment to the image.
