After cutting a field for hay, I noticed the next field to be cut was loaded with Indigo Buntings and Goldfinches working over the Chicory. I came back the next day and set up right in the middle of all of this stuff, which was about 3 feet high. It was not long that I was surrounded again by the Buntings and Finches. This shot was taken when a Male INBU perched on a long Chicory stem on the edge of the field. The background is the field that had just been cut and bailed and it rendered a nice green background.

Jason a beautiful bird that I've never seen. Lovely BG and a bonus having the bird in song. I might suggest cropping this into more a a protrait format rather than the squarish presentation that you have here.
A nice reward after work. I like the basic COMP but would like to see a bit more room above so as not to clip the top of the chicory. Beautiful singing pose.

Lots of detail and like the others have mentioned a lovely singing pose. I suppose you may have thought about the portrait crop but that would have meant losing the top part of the chicory and less of the left side. I reckon it is good the way it is.
Thanks for the thoughts thus far. I like the basic comp, but do see it was too tight on top. Here is a revised verison that has more room on top. Thanks again for all the replies.
Hi Jason, The repost is a big improvement. From ABP II: if an object is worth including in the frame, be sure to include the whole thing and to give it a small border...
As presented, I would crop a bit from the back and more from the front to get to 3 X 2.
