    Default Common Kingfisher

    Attached Images Attached Images

Went out yesterday morning to get my classic Common Kingfisher with a fish image.
Sure enough my perch was a hit as the Kingfisher landed 5-6 times with a fish.
However, even though I took more then a few shots, I thought the fish was tiny.
I will post an image with a fish another day.

The real action happened just after the Kingfisher finished eating a fish, when another
Kingfisher flew in and a quick territory fight went on.
It all happend in a matter of 5-6 seconds and it was all peaceful again.
Unfortunately, I was set up with the TC to get my classic image,
so either the image was tight or I clipped off body parts.

This image is from the start of the fight when the perched Kingfisher goes in to his
territory dispaly, in effort to look big.
I realize it is a bit tight at the bottom but I'll live with it.

    All c&c welcomed and appreciated.

Hi Danny, its an excellent shot. If its were my pic I would have added more canvas to the left and bottom of the frame. Also am surprised to see such a low ISO (was it a mistake ?) as that would have given you ample speed to freeze the wings.
Mine is 30D/50D and 90% of the time when am shooting birds I set it to ISO 400.
Congrats on a very good picture though.
