Obviously hand held but a "unique" view as my husband and I were out for a Sunday afternoon drive. Caught this one holding still just long enough for a capture out the car's open window before taking off. We got very close before he bolted, so this is a rare shot for me. Probably would be less noise with a lower iso, but had no time to set it.

    Nikn D40x, 1/50 sec. F5.6, iso 400, 135 mm.

    Hi Hazel,
It is good if we get wildlife sightings when hubby is around. :D I like the low angle of the shot. It always gives a nice feeling. I think the car engine was running so you got a little bit of shake in the image. Also the shutter speed was quiet low. In the excitement of the sighting we often forget that. Were you driving?

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi

No, I wasn't driving. and I know it's soft because of the serendipity happening....but given that, I was pleased that I actually got a "decent" shot. just wanted to share it. Actually, I'm glad that I was not surprised by your comments...helps me think that I actually have learned a bit more about what to observe. Thanks!
