Default Sandhill Crane Off For Another New Day

    ISO 1000, f/7.1, 1/2000 sec
    Matrix Metering +0.33

The ISO was elevated to increase shutter speed as this Sandhill Crane departed from a Florida marsh, to begin a new day of foraging. I especially like the eye contact with this bird, the wing positions and the feathers on its beak.

Any noise was removed by Topaz DeNoise, and some small distracting white clouds were eliminated using Photoshop CS3.

    All C&C are welcome!

Love the flight pose Norm and sharpness, particularly on the head. Comp wise, be happier if less room on top and more on bottom, but not major. Some sharpening halos on my monitor on legs and breast but easy fix. Done well and be pleased with it myself particularly with such good light.

I like the crop and the framing and the fact that the head is totally set against the far wing.

Norm, Nice eye contact and sharpness. The crop seems tight for me but it does look good and shows the details nicely.

Norm, awesome incoming pose! I'd be really happy with this one. I'm also finding it a little tight comp-wise, but not too much. The only thing is that I find your image has a greenish cast to it. See if you like the repost...in PS Colour Balance I added red, blue, and cyan to taste...I then boosted the saturation on the yellow channel only by 15 points to put back some of the warm glow on the bird.

I like everything here Norm. Awesome pose and razor sharp. I do think it's a little tight, but still rocks AFAIAC. :)
