    Default Three on the Ridge

Went for a pano look and extra space to try to capture the openess of the prairie. 40D, 1-400L @ 400mm, f5.6, 1/320s, ISO 1600, +2/3 EC, handheld, about 70% of original image.

Lovely image. I like the detail and pattern in the grasses which gives the foreground a great texture. Also like the space on the right which gives a sense of vulnerability to the animals. The middle one looking straight at the camera really enhances the whole picture. It is just the kind of image I like so I have no suggestions for any changes. :)

Hi Steve, good to have eye contact from all three, and love the alert look from them too. Your comp works well with the space, and I like the clarity in the sky after the storm. Well captured.

The use of space enhances this image greatly, the subject is beautiful, the grass is remarkable, and the sky is blue what else could you need!

    Steve,
A fine image. I like the composition with the open space. The colours look nice. It would have been great if all the three were looking at the right.

    Cheers,

I agree with Sabyasachi - if they were all looking in the same direction it would have taken this up a notch. Still great exposure and composition - I get the feeling of the prairie as you stated.

I Like it Steve, nicely exposed with all that sky and with them all turning around at the same time gives the comp an intimate feel.

Hi Steve. I really like the light and the colors of the prairie vegetation here. The pano crop works very well and the three great poses top it off! Well done.
