    40D, Canon 100-400@160mm, 1/1000 f 7.1, ISO 400. Distance a little over 6 feet. You can tell I like Jays.

    You're obviously fond of them, Arsdel. Blue sky looks more intense than I have seen in nature and there is a broad pale halo around the bird. Fillflash may have been an option to open up the shaded areas under the bird and put a glint in it's eye. Sharply pruned perch end is unfortunate but must have been amazing to be so close.
