Yes I agree, a beautiful bird indeed. Sharpness is there, and from this image you seem to know how to handle your photography gear. Critique-wise I would suggest to be careful with distracting elements such as the OOF foliage obstructing the lower part of the bird. Another thing to watch for is light angle - in this image the light is coming from the right resulting in a brightly lit back of the head, but a shaded face. Whenever possible try to keep the sun at your back this way your subjects will be nicely lit from bill to tail. Keep them coming as I'm sure we'll see great stuff from you!

    Hi Boris
A great looking little fellow and very sharp. I wish you had used flash to fill the shadows as the light direction is not ideal and it is showing clearly. :) It looks like you were shooting in light rain and the little drop behind the bird, and behind the legs are a little distracting. I used the patch tool to tidy those and the water drop near the LLC, and also did a little noise reduction. One other thing that is a little distracting is the out of focus branches covering the feet. Anyway, it is still a pretty bird and good presentation considering the conditions experienced. :)

Nice details and eye contact, Akos's repost is a big improvement. BG is nice but light angle isn't best, too bad the oof branches are blocking the feet.
