    Default Semipalmated plover portrait

    This morning was cold at the beach. There were few shorebirds around and those that were were hunkered down in little valleys which made it hard to get a clean shot. When one lifted itself up a bit I took a portrait shot.

    Sweet early light on this moderately worn juvenile. Sharp with a perfect EXP. You did relatively well with a difficult framing situation...

    I like the framing, I think you overcame whatever limitations that birds set for you. Very nice light and bg.

    Sweet Sweet light - exposure is spot on the money - Bg looks good, Good HA and eye contact.

    Beautiful up-close image and the lighting is terrific. I can see the sunrise in the eye. Nicely done.
